About Horizons Family Counseling

Horizons Family Counseling offers services for families with children (ages 8-17) who are involved in running away, disobedience, truancy and behavior problems at school.  This area is partially funded by the Alameda County Probation Department for all Valley (Dublin, Sunol, Pleasanton, LIvermore, Mountain House) families.  Horizons allows the school to refer students for five free visits.  Horizons is staffed by licensed mental health professionals.  Evening appointments are available  When parents decide to continue counseling beyond the fifth session they select their fee from a chart of net income and number of dependents, ranging from $2 to $30 per session.  After that payment is on a sliding scale.  For more info Horizons's web site is www.ci.livermore.ca.us/horizons.html.  Horizons requires that all members of the household attend family sessions,
