Have A Great Summer

East Avenue Office will be open 8am-4pm through Friday June 22. We will re-open Monday, August 6th at 9am. - 4pm. Normal office hours will resume on August 13th.  We hope everyone has a wonderful, safe summer!

InfoSnap (Annual Student Update) Information

During the week of August 6, the Livermore School District will be sending via email or US Mail information regarding InfoSnap (Annual Student Update) to all district parents.  Primary parents/guardians will receive a mailing that will include an individual snap code for each of your children enrolled in the Livermore District.  It is mandatory that parents complete the InfoSnap update for each of their children, whether they are new to the district or returning.  Only the primary parent/guardian will receive the notification.  If a secondary parent or guardian would like their emergency contact information on file with the school, an emergency card can be obtained from the school office and submitted in August.

You will receive another reminder message the week of July 30 with information regarding the launch date for the snap codes. EAMS students with incomplete emergency contact information will not receive their schedules at Orientation Day on August 15until their information has been updated.

Free Transit Passes for East Avenue Middle School Students 2018-2019 School Year

Dear EAMS Students and Family Members,

For East Avenue Middle School's 2018-19 school year, registered students will continue to be eligible to receive a free Student Transit Pass — a Clipper card that provides unlimited access to LAVTA Wheels bus services.

If you had a Student Transit Pass during the 2017-18 school year and will attend EAMS next year, your Clipper card will continue to work on LAVTA Wheels buses over the summer and through July 2019. You DO NOT need to re-enroll at registration in August.

If you are a new student at EAMS or did not sign up to get a Student Transit Pass this past school year, you’ll have an opportunity to enroll in the Pilot at registration in August. Registration, consent, and release forms will be available for you to complete, sign, and return at registration. Students under the age of 18 must have their parent or legal guardian complete and sign the registration form as indicated. Once the form is submitted and verified by school staff, students will receive a Clipper card within three weeks. You can also download a copy from the school’s website, complete it, and return it to the front office beginning the first day of school.

EAMS is one of 21 schools in Alameda County that will participate in this program during the coming year. If you will be attending a different school in Alameda County in the fall, you may still be eligible to participate. You can find out more information about participating schools at www.alamedactc.org/studentpass.

Questions may be directed to Ms. Shannon Lutz at (925) 606-4711, or to Mr. Ben Kaufman at bkaufman@nelsonnygaard.com.

Thank you,
